I had an opportunity today to review the Union of International
Associations (UIA) web site. For list members with interests in
the international arena, it appears to offer an unusually large
number of useful links. To provide just one example, the web site
provides information on "over 40,000 organizations, with 104,000
links."

I am not familiar with the activities of the organization, so let me simply note an introductory statement presented on its welcome page. "The Union of International Associations, a nonprofit clearing house for information on over 20,000 international organizations and constituencies, has been a pioneer in the provision of information on international organizations and their global challenges since its foundation in 1910."

The address: http://www.uia.org/

The UIA email address: mailto:uia@uia.be

The pointer to the UIA web site was brought to my attention by Joel Fischer at UIA. List members may want to contact him if they would like more information about the web site and/or UIA. (Apologies in advance to Mr. Fischer if he is suddenly inundated with inquiries.) *****************************************************************
