For those of you still trying to unsubscribe, the FAQ contains the following instructions:
You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF DEVEL-L" command to mailto:LISTSERV@AMERICAN.EDU.
What this means is that you send a message with mailto:LISTSERV@AMERICAN.EDU as the To:, with no subject, and with SIGNOFF DEVEL-L as the message (with no other lines like signature, etc.) This will remove your name from the list, as I am now about to do.
