A few areas may be of interest to this group. There is a section on the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement in Sri Lanka, one of the world's largest comprehensive community development movements.
It is is unique in that it has an alternative development model that incorporates personal transformation as well as community building.
The leader of the movement Dr. Ariyaratne visited here in San Diego just this last week and shared his perspective on participation.
