This was not a discussion of the repercussions of plant research. It was a lesson in the tactics used to achieve political position in the world. RAFI got a lot of air time, and they will get more funding as a result, despite the fact that they made an issue where there was none. While this list has discussed the truth, the truth will never make it to the UN and other groups that are going to be called on by RAFI, and the "Quinoa Patent" will be reffered to in several circles to show just how much developing nations abuse the resources of the "poor farmers".
This is the model that is used time and time again to gain a position of power.
I for one am sick of it.
