The Least of These Program Highlights July 7, 1997 HCJB The Voice of the AndesOn this week's program, Shelly Sutton will report on the racial imbalance of the homeless in the United States. Curt Cole will have an interesting feature on whether world poverty can be solved financially. We'll hear from Sara Bilousky of United Nations Radio about a "Food for All" contest for children, and Mauricio Solis of MAP (Medical Aid Program) will talk about his organization's efforts to involve churches in building bridges in society. Finally, Brian MacHarg of Brick by Brick United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky will discuss the church's social responsibility. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
