My posting was not intended as "sardonic" nor was it about any citizenship in particular. It was intended to voice my opinion that time is past due for "citizenship" to be considered nothing more than a circumstancial aspect. If an individual has the skills (knowledge, honesty, and desire) this should be the aspects to consider for hiring, not citizenship. But, of course, double standards are still too pervasive and politics continue to dictate the rules of the game!
One can still here on TV or read on newspapers about some "proud" citizen of a country say: "Being an xyz citizen is a PRIVILAGE" just like some Roman would say two thousand years ago about being a Roman.
It's time to transcend borders and nationalities and start viewing humans as "citizens" of the same world!
