Director, Development Programs, Washington, DC. InterAction, the nation' s largest coalition of relief, development and refugee agencies, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced person to serve as Director of Development Programs. Besides serving as the program officer of InterAction's Multilateral Development Project. The director will provide oversight/direction to all development-related grants and core-funded activities of InterAction including the Committee on Development Policy and Practice which incorporates the Africa Liaison Project, the Middle East Working Group, and the Evaluation Interest Group. Requires: a thorough understanding of international development assistance programs and policies, including programmatic and policy advocacy relationships of Southern and Northern NGOs, and the operations of donor agencies, particularly USAID and the World Bank; 15+ years substantive experience in international development; and experience in formulating advocacy strategies for policy reform in donor institutions, management and fundraising.
