I recommend that your friend work with a good interpretation and translation company. A quality language company will make sure that your communications meet proper protocols. This is especially important for proposal efforts and the introduction phase of a business relationship. Most companies find that

in-house personnel or contracting directly with freelancers will not produce satisfactory results. Since Russian has numerous unique challenges, you should use a company that specializes in it.

I know of several such companies, but the best is Russian Language Services in Arlington, Virginia. Their phone is (703) 534-0409. Ask for Danielle.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, especially about configuring PCs and Macs for Russian, e-mail me directly at <<mailto:jwest@sysplan.com>>.
