Maps-L Folk:
One of the researchers using the Map Room here at U. Georgia needs some Zaire maps that the collection does not hold. He is a researcher for the CDC (Center for Disease Control) out of Atlanta, GA. He and others are being sent to Zaire to collect samples in the area where the Embola outbreak occured. They do not have maps of the area and were happy to find some old (1953) Institut Geographique du Congo Belge 1:50,000 sheets in the Georgia collection. We had only a few sheets in their research area. What we have may be all that have been done but I know we do not have all that the IGCB published and we have none of what IGZ has published. Needless to say they are going over to Zaire in a week so there is a time problem. Does anyone have copies of the following sheets that they could photocopy (xerox) for these researchers? If you can help let me know and I will then ask the nearest one to do the copying. Thanks.
The needed sheets are:
Zaire 1:50,000 S5/18 sheets SE-3 and SE-4 S5/19 sheet SW-3 S6/18 sheet NE-4 S6/19 sheets NW-1 and NW-3
Georgia does not have copies of the 1:200,000 for the area but that might be of some use to them:
Zaire l:200,000 S5/18; S5/19; S6/18; S6/19
Thank you
