VITA, a private non-profit development organization located in Rosslyn, VA is considering bidding on a health related project in Haiti and are seeking resumes of possible candidates for both long and short term positions. Only persons fluent in French/English language should apply.
PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY DIRECTOR - MD with MPH or PhD., in public health or related field; 10 years exp in implementation of health related projects; plus 5 yrs work experience in a developing country. Prior experience as COP/Director of a health related project a must.
PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITIONIST - Masters degree in nutritional science or public health field with emphasis on nutrition, 5 years experience in public health nutrition, 3 years field experience in a developing country in the area of food and nutrition.
COORDINATORS/TRAINERS (long/short-term positions) - Bachelor/or Masters degree in public health, health education or related field; at least 5 years consulting experience in a developing country; must have experience developing curriculum and good training techniques; good communications skills, and expertise in any of the following areas:
health reform policy; developing organizational structure and systems; information manangement systems development; family planning and AIDS/STD prevention; community health education; material & child health; prevention and curative programs.
