"Global Knowledge for Development" is the full title of a discussion
forum also known as GKD97, established in preparation for a major
international conference on this subject to be held in Toronto, Canada,
starting 22 June.

I have been monitoring GKD97 since it began and find the postings at a
high level of interest and thoughtfulness.  IMO, most of the recent
philosophical postings to DEVEL-L would probably find a more appropriate
home, and perhaps a more appreciative audience, at GKD97.
