GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CONFERENCE
The fourth annual Telecommunities Canada conference will be held in
Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 15-18, 1997. This conference brings
together people from across Canada and around the world who are
involved in Community Networking and Community Access. This year's
conference theme is "Partnerships".

* people involved in Community Access Program (CAP), sites
* people in organizations interested in finding out more about
community nets
* people interested in exploring the role of the Community Net in
community development
* government officials involved in any aspect of the information
highway, information dissemination or community development
* community educators, librarians, community and social service
staff interested in exploring opportunities arising from
partnerships with community nets

PRECONFERENCE WORKSHOP INFORMATION
#1. CAP Sites and New Community Nets
This workshop, limited to 40, is designed for those working
with CAP sites or new community nets. The workshop will feature small
group sessions and a hands-on approach. Topics will include: fund
raising, developing a board, sustaining an organization, information
providers and web site design.
Workshop only: Cap Sites $60.00
Workshop with conference registration: Cap Sites $40.00
#2. A Community Net with CSuite
This workshop, limited to 25, will provide exposure to CSuite software
for running Community Nets. A technical background or aptitude and
interest will be assumed. The workshop will prepare participants to
install CSuite on their own.
Workshop only: CSuite $90.00
Workshop with conference registration: CSuite $60.00
