Florin,Thanks for answering my questions regarding communism in your country. It has been quite illuminating. It seems that you are becoming practised at the art of expressing your opinions, despite your repressed background, and I hope you will continue to do so.
Sorry for addressing you as "Jurcovici", I was unsure which was correct.

since this would lower their income?Entertainers. Some entertainers are worth millions - Paul McCartney, U2, various movie stars. Many of them believe in curbing western "development" (a mean everything/nothing/anything word, if ever there was one...) in favour of protecting the future, and also in combatting injustice in less fortunate societies. Their income is not jeopardised by standing up for what is right (although U2 have certainly toned it down a lot, perhaps in search of bigger audiences, perhaps because they're tired of the flack). They could easily be entreatied to pool their resources and be quite effective in bringing about change for the better, evidenced in the "Band-Aid" concert organised by Bod Geldof. It is questionable whether the money raised from that concert was put to the best possible use, but when it becomes clearer that "grass-roots" organisations are the ones to support, and technology transfered to the best effect is that which is desired and able to be utilised and maintained by the targeted recipients, it should become easier to direct any funds generated to those areas.
