Lee,When I first looked at your pages on the web I thought, "Here's someone else telling us all we have to do in implement sustainable development and everything will be OK. And just how do you propose to do that when the power base is all about the opposite?"
My choice has been to pursue technical applications to shore up the dike. The tools we might use are soil surveys, water supply manuals and community development handbooks.
After reading further, however, I found a suggestion that made me think again. Education is a tool we can use to turn things around from a public policy point of view. This may take awhile, but I don't believe there are any shortcuts.
