Having complained politely, I then received two more copies of the 311K version of the file mentioned below. Consequently my mailer will no longer accept any mail from this poster. I later read and accepted the apology - but today we have another file attachment coming through from a subscriber on this list. Please.... don't do it!!!! It does make mail expensive and boringly time consuming when stranded on the phone trying to download mails we do need. I actually monitor this list for my brother in Africa who can't afford to be on mail lists with their phone costs there - I'd like to be able to stay on the list - but I can't if members keep sending out files on it.PLEASE THINK - PHONE COSTS ARE EXPENSIVE IN AFRICA, ASIA, ETC. YOUR THOUGHTLESS BEHAVIOURS PREVENT THE PEOPLE WHO MOST NEED INFORMATION SUBSCRIBING TO THE LISTS. ADVERTISE YOUR ATTACHMENTS BY ALL MEANS - BUT PLEASE DON'T SEND THEM UNSOLICITED.
