THE LEAST OF THESE Program Highlights HCJB--The Voice of the Andes June 20 and 22, 1998How can you tell a sponsored child? By their teeth! So says Victor Mariduena, President of the Ecuadorian chapter of Children International. On this week's "Least of These" radio program, we'll travel to several low-income settlements along Ecuador's coast with Mr. Mariduena and learn about how the El Nino phenomenon has affected the residents. We'll also learn how Children International is helping to address the needs of the poor in Latin America. (Repeat broadcast) The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America and hosted by Ken MacHarg. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
