Please forgive the cross postings.Hi
The Development Resource Centre is preparing the "Pacific Development Directory" of all development-related organisations in the Pacific. This is a last call for registrations to be included in the hard copy version. The aim of the directory is to improve regional communications, assist development initiatives and help with the allocation of development resources.
Don't miss out on an opportunity for FREE inclusion in this new Directory for your organisation! (The only two requirements are that you have a postal address in the Pacific and are operating in the field of "development" in any of the Pacific countries listed below.)
Please fill out the questionnaire on our website at
http://www.converge.org.nz/drc/
or contact the DRC at the address below for a paper copy of the questionnaire.
Please forward this message to any other organisations you think should be included.
The Directory will include:
+ Government departments, academic/research institutions, development banks, NGOs, development consultants, and international funding agencies.
In the following countries:
+ American Samoa, Australia*, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand*, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.
(* Organisations operating from these countries must be involved in at least one of the other Pacific countries listed)
There will be both a hard copy and an Internet version published. On the Internet you will be able to search the database through a World Wide Web page (http://www.converge.org.nz/drc/) and by email. The Internet will be updated at regular intervals and the hard copy biennially. The Directory will be made widely available to groups throughout the Pacific and the world, including international agencies and donors, libraries, universities, NGOs and others.
The Development Resource Centre is a non governmental organisation providing information about development issues, global education and developing countries to schools, universities, development consultants, volunteers, government departments and other ngos in New Zealand.
The DRC is supported in this project by Converge New Zealands Online On-line Non-Profit Community Network (http://www.converge.org.nz), New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the United Nations Development Programme Suva Office.
