I work with environmental systems analysis of municipal waste management in Sweden. This summer and fall I will be advising a couple of Master projects by students from Kenya and Pakistan. They will use the same models and methods for systems analysis that we are developing and using for Sweden, but apply them to their home countries.
I feel that I need to learn more about their specific situation: what are the waste streams, how is it treated today, what are the realistic options for biological treatment and recycling etc. etc. I hope to get some advice from some of you from the list.
