ECO Is ..
The definitive source of what's going on as governments continue to negotiate the Climate Change Convention. Produced by the global Climate Action Network (with more than 160 major Non-Government Organizations from around the world), ECO has leading independent scientists and political analysts giving you unrivaled access to the negotiations and what they mean.
ECO is an INTERACTIVE newsletter - readers are encouraged to participate via letters to the editor or other submissions. In addition to the daily newsletters there may be occasional press releases requesting readers to respond to events at the Summit. Details for responding will be contained in the releases or contact the ECO editorial office (see below).
ECO will be published daily except weekends during COP-1, and each issue will be 4 printed pages or about 25K of ASCII text

EcoNet - Environment/ 7. Climate/ 2. ECO Newsletter archive/ If you cannot directly enter a gopher address on your system, try searching gopher space for the keyword "EcoNet".
Filenames for ftp and gopher will be of the form "eco#_cop1.txt" (ASCII version) or "eco#_cop1.pdf" (Acrobat version), where # is the issue number.
The text version of ECO will also be posted to the Usenet newsgroup sci.environment.
If you are on any of the APC networks, text and binary versions can be found in the climate.news conference, and text only in climate.forum.
