Subject: RE: Best Laptop for Central Africa

Over several years, I have used a number of laptops (at least six) in many countries of Africa and Latin America/Caribbean. All have been Toshibas, and they have perfromed excellently. I began with a non-hard drive monochrome and today have a 486 active matrix, with a large hard drive. I have never had a problem with any of them. They are very durable, work under all kinds of conditions, from the dry of the desert to the moist, humid conditions of oceanside. In addition, there are repair shops for assistance (if you need it), or supplies in most places I have been.

Good luck in your selection.
