Some people would like to know how to access more information from the
internet.

One of the best sources is the World Wide Web.

I have put `bookmarks' of links, to all the important International Development/education/etc. web sites on the International Services Web Site.

If you have access to NetScape, or don't mind using `lynx' through your e-mail account, then take a look at these:

http://www.brocku.ca/international/jonmarks.html and http://www.brocku.ca/international/bookmarks.html

(I warn you that these lists of links are still not as well sorted as I would like, and naturally can never be complete)

If you find that `surfing the net' is too time consuming, and that you want to continually receive interesting information, you can subscribe to mailing lists, which will send you all of the messages that people send to them.

Try: WUSCNET - this is a very usefull list full of current events and job opportunities.

send the message "subscribe WUSCNET [your name]" to mailto:listserv@qucdn.queensu.ca

INDEV-L "subscribe INTDEV-L {your name]" to uriacc.uri.edu

these are both good International Development lists. * ** * * ** * ** * ** * ** ** * * ** ** * ** * ** * ** * ** * ** * ***

CASID-L "subscribe CASID-L [your name]" to mailto:listserv@vm1.mcgill.ca

the Canadian Association for the Study of International Development * ** * * ** * * ** ** ** * ** * * * * ** ** * * * * ** ** ** * ** * **

free-burma "subscribe free-burma [your name] to: mailto:listserver@relay.doit.wisc.edu

this is the information service for the American base of the Free Burma campaign. ** * ** * ** * ** ** * ** * ** * * ** * ** * * ** * ** * ** * ** *

I have found all of these very usefull.

Remember, it is easy to delete unwanted messages, and you can always unsubscribe.
