The Association of University Related Research Parks is holding its 13th Annual International Conference May 20 - 23, 1998, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.
The conference will focus on such topics as ... Impact of telecommunications on community and organizational development
Approaches for technology-driven economic development International partnerships and collaborations Starting and managing technology business incubators Workforce development Building collaborations between communities, higher education, government and industry
A special half day session will be offered on Saturday, May 23, in Baton Rouge on Developing International Relationships. Workshop sessions will be led by leaders from science and research parks from around the world on such topics as: comparative national policies on research parks, funding and economic development; essential elements of international partnerships and agreements; case studies of successful global partnerships; funding sources for joint ventures and international partnerships; and international networking and negotiations.
