THE LEAST OF THESE Program Highlights HCJB--The Voice of the Andes April 3 and 6Within the past month a major U.S. newspaper ran a series of articles criticizing the work of four large child sponsorship development agencies. The newspaper charged that these organizations do not deliver what they promise to sponsored children or their contributors. On this week's program we will be talking with representatives of two child sponsorship organizations who will help us understand exactly what child sponsorship involves, how children and their families are helped by these projects and what sponsors can expect for the money they contribute. Our guests are Pat McDonnell, Director of Planning and Organizational Development for Children International and Mark Leighton, Sponsorship and Grants Support Manager for Plan International Ecuador. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
The Least of These is broadcast on HCJB, The Voice of the Andes on the following Schedule:
