I also agree that this set of criteria looks good in principle and may be potentially useful for teaching purposes and in public information. How about refining the environment component a little more? For example:Environmentally: it causes on its planning, development and operational stages depletion of ecosystems and habitats - including individual species- or leads to changes to the natural scenario and landscape, not adopting any steps to reverse the damage occurred as a result of such changes.
That way, I would think, all sides are covered and such criteria may then be used in attempts to evaluate the degree of sustainability of a tourism project on the environment front.The other social and economic items listed seem ok. Walter Leal Filho
