Hello Lise,
I do agree with you and Ndiaye, about the fact that Africa has always
been the dumping ground for almost everything, from advanced technology
like computers to even used clothing. But you will certainly agree with me
that in as far as Africa is behind in almost everything technological, we
need to appreciate some of these "dumpings" so that we can use them as
basis for our own technological build up. Let Africa be seen as
vulnerable in the eyes of the world. Let the world think we are not capable
of taking charge of our own affairs, but then behind the seen, let us
all help Africa arise to the occasion and shock the world like Japan
did, and what the countries of S.E. Asia are doing. So fellow Africans
do not feel put down by a "kind" gesture, let us build our own
technology and Africa will no longer be a ground for used stuff.
