is to promote sustainable development in decision-making within Canada
and worldwide.

Development Communications Positions
IISD hosts 2 well-established, award winning WWW sites, IISDnet
(http://iisd1.iisd.ca/) and Linkages (http://www.iisd.ca/linkages/). We
are seeking 3 creative, committed, and Internet-literate individuals to
join our Information and Communications team on a 2 year project, to
foster development of an international network of sustainable development
information, including at least 4 organizations in developing countries.
 All candidates are required to have experience with WWW information
design and delivery, and a demonstrated commitment to environment and
development. International experience recommended. Knowledge of French or
Spanish an asset.

Internet Communications Officer Your role: Work with IISD staff and partners to translate "SD" ideas, principles and practices into language that engages global Internet audiences, facilitating dialogue and action. University level qualifications related to sustainable development and significant experience in environment & development communications/journalism, including writing for virtual audiences; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range: Cdn 35,000 - 40,000.

Web Designer Your role: Leading edge, innovative, multi-media, and interactive graphics design, database and html page development. Minimum 2 years experience in Web design, with college level qualifications or the equivalent related to communications or graphic arts. Salary range: Cdn $28,000 - $35,000.

Project Assistant Your role: Assist in tracking Internet information bases, building databanks, communications with partners. University level qualifications with knowledge of environment or development issues; and experience in information work and project delivery, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range: Cdn $25,000-$30,000.
