Colleagues: We are in the final planning stages of accomodating visitors to the integrated aquaculture ecosystems facilities of the Center for Regenerative Studies, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA to attend our intensive summer institute titled "Aquaculture Ecosystems: An International Research and Training Course". The course will be held from 1-25 July 1996 at Cal Poly and led by Dr. Barry A. Costa-Pierce, Professor of Aquaculture, Cal Poly, plus guest lecturers and field trips to aquaculture sites in SoCalifornia. The comprehensive fee is $2,500 and includes#s33 all room, board, field trips, and course materials. Students will get hands-on experiences with semi-intensive, integrated aquaculture systems at the CRS which integrate solar energy, aquaculture, agriculture, and waste treatment systems as well as exotic and indigeneous species and genetics work with tilapias, carps and native species to the desert SW of North America.
