They are tougher. Before 1989, there was a saying that no matter how hard you work or how lazy you are you get the same shit. Now, there's a difference. If you really struggle, you might feel some improvement. But the easier way is to do unlawfull things - in this case it's easier and you are better off. Of course, some people don't have an enough soft backbone to do such things, but hey are fewer any day. Do you know why? Because they cannot feel any support for being honest in the world they are living.

I don't make the difference. Could you tell me? However, if it's any sort of democracy, because most of all people are easy to manipulate, on one hand, and on the other, most of them are not well prepared to judge social and/or economical situations. This makes them very easy to be manipulated by politicians. So if the system is based on votes of all members of the society, it won't work right - I think.
