Dear Devel-l participants,

My question today is a simple one. Are there any kind of services that MBA students could provide via the Internet to you as consultants with and development specialists for SMEs and microbusinesses?

I can imagine creating a service program to provide such assistance for free, but I really don't think I know well enough what kind of help might be useful to you or your clients AND handled via the Internet. I suspect the kinds of services are fairly specific (prepare this market study, detail requirements for importing, etc.), but I am at a loss to know what could help you in your daily work.

The MBA students would likely be a mix of students from the USA (around 70%) and the rest of the world (30%). They will have access to a fairly complete business library, and a set of faculty with skills in the different business disciplines as well as SME experience in the USA. There would be 2 or 3 faculty with SME consulting experience in other countries.

When describing the service, if you could include a brief description of the clients you see using this service, and the kind of work you do, it would be most helpful in giving me a context for your ideas.

Please feel free to respond to me directly (mailto:katzja@slu.edu) or to the list. As always, I will summarize the responses and feed them back to the list.

Thanks for your time, Jerry
