UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
Over a very short period of time, the University of Regina has created
an impressive and distinctive identity. It has grown into a mature
institution of just under 12,000 students and 1,200 faculty and staff,
with an annual operating budget of $96 million. The University offers
undergraduate degree programs in eight faculties (Administration, Arts,
Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Kinesiology and Health Studies,
Science, and Social Work), and credit and non-credit programming through
the Centre for Continuing Education and the Institut français. The
Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research provides an active research

Reporting to the Vice-President (Research and International), the
Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Development will
provide leadership and direction to international activities at the
University of Regina, including: creating this new unit; assisting in
the implementation of the recently developed Task Force report on
Internationalization (see,
www.uregina.ca/presoff/vpresearch/Internationalization/index.html),
providing overall strategic direction to the international activities at
the University of Regina including the development of international
projects and agreements; acting as a resource on international matters
for the campus; and performing an international liaison role that
includes protocol, exchanges and the development of long-term
international relationships.
The ideal candidate will have worked or studied abroad and bring
experience in international relations in the education, research and
training fields. A university degree and language skills are desirable.
Preferred experience will include responsibility for conducting business
internationally and negotiating contracts. Proven project management and
leadership skills would be a plus.
