Dear Colleague:Tourism, telecommunications and information technology are the most rapidly changing and fastest growing industries in the world particularly here in the Western Hemisphere. As market demand continues to change, these industries are becoming more interconnected and synergistic. Realizing this, Caribbean Latin American Action (C/LAA) and the NAFTA partners are concentrating the 1995 Miami Conference on the Caribbean and Latin America on how you can learn about the latest telecommunications and information technology breakthroughs.
We are pleased to join the Caribbean Hotel Association and C/LAA to offer TravComm '95, a state-of-the-art event which takes place December 4-6, 1995, within the C/LAA Miami Conference on the Caribbean and Latin America. TravComm '95 is a forum and an exposition focused on the interrelated roles of tourism, telecommunications and information technology.
Please visit our URL=http://gwis.circ.gwu.edu/~iits ********************************** which provides further details on the program and how to register or let us know if you would like to have detailed information by E-Mail or Fax. There will be 25 presentations concerned with technology trends, financing strategies, interactive multi-media, on-line travel services and hotel, resort and attractions information technology applications; also demonstrations of teleconferencing, travel navigation systems, automated biometric identification systems, new internet software, and groupware.
Conventional marketing methods no longer are adequate to position the travel industry for success. Information technology is the wave of the future. Governments, large corporations, and small and medium-sized firms in this industry must stay in tune with these changes in order to be competitive in the 21st Century.
You don't want to miss this opportunity!
Sincerely,
Ayhan Bayer, Research Analyst International Institute of Tourism Studies The George Washington University 817 23rd St, NW Washington, D.C., 20052 USA Phone: (202) 994-6629 Fax: (202) 994-1420 E-Mail: mailto:iits@gwis.circ.gwu.edu
