Ethanol is currently in use in many States in the midwestern portion of
the USA, largely because it is forgiven some federal taxes at the
consumer level. I believe the Department of Transportation has funded
several studies (check out their site at http://www.dot.gov) as has ADM
and CPC companies, which make it - under subsidy
