**POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT**International firm seeks candidate for a Chief of Party position to be based out of Gaborone, Botswana, for a 5-year project covering 12 southern African countries and headquartered in Botswana. Purpose of contract is to manage USAID grants and assist USAID in capacity building of southern African NGOs. Must have following qualifications:
*USAID contract/ grants management experience; preference given to former USAID contracting officers
*familiarity with USAID regulations regarding implemention of grant programs, including solicitation of grant applications; pre award assessments; awarding and negotiation of grants; post grant administration; and close out.
*experience with contractual and financial issues relating to management of USAID grant funds to NGOs including program and financial reporting requirements.
*ability to design accounting and managerial systems to support grants ranging $50,000 to $500,000 (with total grant money exceeding $5million over life of project)
*Africa experience required and some experience in working with NGOs
*ability to report and take directions from RCSA Contracting Officer and Strategic Objective Teams
