We've added new digital images and a training guide!

Since the pretest launch in August, 1998, the Tools for Life web site has been visited over 5,500 times, by viewers from 29 countries. Project designers and health professionals from around the world have sent their feedback via E-mail and y post on the 28 activity cards and 40 information cards that make up Tools for Life the integrated health kit for commu ity health workers. We've used many of these comments, questions, and suggestions to improve these innovative materials

Our electronic pretest ends November 30, 1998.

When Tools for Life is finalized in December 1998, health organizations will be able to download the kit and modify it t meet their needs, reproduce it, and distribute it to their community health workers. Using the Internet in this way, m kes Tools for Life adaptable, accessible and affordable to meet country and program-specific needs throughout Africa. I itially the kit will be available in both English and French, making it appropriate for most African nations. A CD-ROM ersion will also be made available for those who lack Internet access.

Tools for Life is designed by The Johns Hopkins/ Population Communication Services Project in collaboration with the Aca emy for Educational Development with technical review from leading international health organizations. Funding is provi ed by the United States Agency for International Development.
