Hi

The Development Resource Centre has recently published the "Pacific Development Directory" of development-related organisations in the Pacific. The aim of the directory is to improve regional communications, assist development initiatives and help with the allocation of development resources.

There is both a hard copy and an Internet version. On the Internet you can search the database through a World Wide Web page (http://www.drc.org.nz) and by email. The Internet is updated at regular intervals and the hard copy biennially.

You can subscribe to the directory online or request a hard copy and internet order form from the DRC at the address below.

The Directory includes: Government departments, academic/research institutions, development banks, NGOs, development consultants, and international funding agencies.

In the following countries: American Samoa, Australia*, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand*, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.

(* Organisations operating from these countries must be involved in at least one of the other Pacific countries listed)

You can still register for inclusion in the directory. (The only two requirements are that you have a postal address in the South Pacific and are operating in the field of "development" in any of the Pacific countries listed below.) Please fill out the questionnaire on our website at

http://www.drc.org.nz

or contact the DRC at the address below for a paper copy of the questionnaire.

Please forward this message to any other organisations you think should be included.

The Development Resource Centre is a non governmental organisation providing information about development practice and issues, global education and developing countries to schools, universities, development consultants, volunteers, government departments and other ngos in New Zealand.

The DRC is supported in this project by Converge New Zealands Online On-line Non-Profit Community Network (http://www.converge.org.nz), New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the United Nations Development Programme Suva Office.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details if required.
