Wouldnt it be wonderful if there were a public mailing list of some sort where
'stakeholders' in international development could find out from one another
what all they were doing in the world today?

IISD to Provide Extensive Climate Change Coverage

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), publisher of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, will provide comprehensive coverage of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Fourth Conference of the Parties (COP4), which is being held now in Buenos Aires (2-13 November 1998). IISD, which has raised more than $100,000 from 10 government ministries and the UN Development Programme for its coverage, is publishing daily 2,000-word issues of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin in French and English on the state of negotiations. In addition to daily reports, IISD is maintaining its bilingual multimedia WWW site on climate change, located at www.iisd.ca/climate/ba/ with photos, RealAudio broadcasts of interviews and conference side events, as well as links to official documents and analyses.

IISD has provided full meetings reports on all sessions of the international negotiations since 1994. Since the Kyoto Protocol was adopted in December 1997, IISD has monitored the climate change policy process, documented in

"The Road to Buenos Aires" timeline at http://www.iisd.ca/linkages/climate/ba/timeline.html .

In addition, IISD covered the "inter-sessional" meeting in Bonn 1997: http://www.iisd.ca/linkages/climate/bonn98.html
