Hello folks,I have begun to brainstorm about my "big" research projet and, as I am setting its first steps, I will be pleased to get your imputs to it. My goal is to determine the extent to which specific macroeconomic policies increased or decreased deforestation caused by the most significant agents of deforestation in the Cameroonian rainforest: export-oriented large-scale farmers, small-scale farmers, and timber companies. The prupose of this research is to generate specific information on the effects of macroeconomic policy on tropical deforestation, which will be particularly relevant to those countries that have experienced structural adjustment and stabalization, or participate in international trade agreements, and contain tropical forests. I will appreciate any help leading to sources where relevant information on Cameroon's rainforest, grassroots environmental/preservation movements, NGOs operating in East Cameroon, etc., could ne found. Also, if you think of any other thing that is of relevance to this topic, please do not hesitate to email me. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
