Hello. I am enrolled in an environmental studies course at Kenyon College. Our class is examining the economic and socio-cultural role of shellfisheries in LDCs. Because of traditions of open access to shellfish resources, management for sustainable use of those resources has been very difficult. Privatization of the seafloor has been one suggested solution to this problem. In an attempt to address these issues, we intend to create a homepage on the World Wide Web entitled "The Tragedy of the Coastal Commons." We would greatly appreciate any comments about specific topics to be addressed, alternative solutions, or references to relevant literature.Thank you, Eren Zink
