The PowerWorks Family

The Power Chip Technolgies' PowerWorks family of clients, servers and multi-user computers is based on the Motorola PowerPC family of Superscalar RISC microprocessors, and a variety of computer system I/O buses. Models of the PowerWorks family will support a range of requirements from desktop clients, small servers, servers supporting entire enterprisers and fault tolerant servers.

The PowerWorks family is available from PCT with the AIX and Windows NT operating systems. As other widely accepted operating systems are proted to the PowerPC, they will be available from their respective vendors for use on PowerWorks models.

The PowerWorks RISC PC

The PowerWorks RISC PC models are based on PowerPC microprocessors, the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus, the ISA bus, and a compact mini-tower enclosure with a variety of memory, SCSI device and ISA or PCI based expansion options.

The Enclosure

The Enclosure is a tool-free assembly, with minimal internal cables and screws. The cover is easily removable for reconfiguration of memory, SCSI devices, or PCI/ISA card insertion. The enclosure contains a switchable power supply and an air cooling system.

Warranty

The PowerWorks RISC PC Model PCTMT-604-100 is backed by a one year limited warranty from PCT.
