Devel-L Subscribers,I am currently teaching a second-year course at the University of Calgary, titled Introduction to African Studies. The course is part of our minor field program in African Studies. 66 students are enrolled (course limit normally 65).
As part of the course, the students have an e-mail distribution list--similar to a listserv, but with limited access. It will last only for the duration of the course (mid-December). I am canvassing fellow subscribers on several of my Africa and development related listservs if they would be willing to act as virtual resource people for the class.
Please contact me if you have questions. This is a bit of an experimental area for me, and I hope to get some feedback from students and participants at the end. I must manually sign on anyone who wishes to partake, and will sign you off as well if the volume is too much (I know many have to pay). Please feel free to pass this on.
Thanks! Trish Paton University of Calgary mailto:ppaton@acs.ucalgary.ca
