The following is an announcement for a faculty position at AIT.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Agricultural and Natural Resource Economist.
Rank: Assistant or associate professor
Location: Agricultural and Aquatic Systems Program Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, Thailand
Position description and Responsbilities: The incumbent will be involved in three major activities: 1. reviewing and developing teaching graduate level economic courses currently being offered in agricultural systems and natural resources fields of studies, 2. supervising thesis research for Master's and Ph.D. students, and 3. developing research and assisting outreach projects in the region.
Qualifications: 1. Ph. D. in agricultural or natural resource economics, or related fields, 2. Experience with and knowledge of development in tropical countries are desired, 3. Experience in teaching and student supervision.
Salary: Based on experience and regionally competitive.
Application procedure: Due 1 December 1997 or until position is filled.
