Training Workshop Announcement
Producing Community Radio/Audio Programmes in collaboration with UNESCO & Commonwealth Education Media Centre for Asia
November 1 - 8, 1 9 9 8 Ashirwad, Bangalore
We invite community level NGOs, development institutions, cooperatives and media practioners to develop their own skills to produce audio/radio programmes on community issues. The emphasis will be on using this low-cost and participatory audio medium for particular views and information and mobilise for action.
Participants will learn to produce programmes in different formats like chat shows, drama, spots, serials, music programmes, which can be used on audio cassettes in listening/discussion groups, or for broadcast on local radio. More details are attached.
This is a hands-on workshop led by a team of eminent and experienced broadcasters from India and abroad. By the end of the workshop participants will have produced at least two programmes in a variety of formats.

This will be an 8-day residential workshop with a lot of field assignments.
A subsidised workshop fee of Rs. 2 0 0 0/- will be charged The workshop will be conducted in English but participants can produce thier radio programmes in any language.
