His ISP can provide you dial-up access, and create an email account for you to use while you are in MU, to which you can forward your mail if that is what you want.

Rather than using the web-based email services, I encourage folks to use the local ISPs connecting to the public Internet. Supporting those efforts, and helping them to grow and flourish, should be SOP for any organization that is doing "development" work.
