              New Eastern Europe/CIS Discussion Lists
*******************************************************************
The Civic Education Project (CEP) has activated several new discus-
sion lists related to Eastern European topics. The primary distinc-
tion to note in the list of lists below is that two are moderated,
and four are not moderated. When messages are dispatched to moder-
ated lists, the messages are first reviewed by the list manager
before being forwarded to list subscribers. For the remaining
lists, all message traffic goes directly to list subscribers,
without the intervention of the list manager.

Please note also the differences in posting procedures. For exam- ple, only CEP administrators can post to cep-announce; only list members can post to ee-higher-ed, ee-law, and ee-women; one need not be a list member to post to ee-jobs.
