Tenurable vacancies exist for Lecturers and Associate Lecturers in the
School of Planning, Landscape Architecture and Surveying located at the
Gardens Point (city) campus. The School offers a wide range of courses
across the broad spectrum of land, planning, design and management. This
combination of disciplines is unique. The School is innovative in its
approach and has an active research and development program with new and
emerging cross disciplinary opportunities. It has close ties to the
professions and the community.
The positions are within the Urban and Regional Planning and Landscape
Architecture disciplines and involve teaching of both undergraduate and
graduate courses. Applicants will have relevant experience within either
discipline or across both discipline areas. The highly motivated
successful applicants will contribute to the School's research and
teaching and have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
planning process and methods; legislative processes, analytical methods,
regional planning theory and practice, critical social theory; design;
and/or landscape practice and technology.
Qualifications/Skills: Asssociate Lecturers will normally have completed
four years tertiary study in the relevant discipline area and/or have
equivalent qualifications and/or professional experience. A Lecturer
will have a masters or doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation
or standing. The University recognises that appointments may be made
without a master/doctoral degree within this area. Eligibility for
corporate membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable.
Salary: AUD$29,539 to $40,087 pa (Associate Lecturer); AUD$42,198 to
$50,111 pa (Lecturer).
