the BBC had an interesting short piece Friday on soil reclamation by means of 3m x 1 km long rolls of corrugated and pre-seeded paper. Evidently the water drip irrigates thru the bottom paper to establish the seedlings and the top layer stays almost dry. (Noone said, but I suppose the ground surface would have to be pretty well graded...) Did anyone make a note of the researcher's name, or know if BBC makes transcripts available (online or otherwise)?kerry
