This is a general information request to list members. I am interested in locating studies and other information on current levels of biomass off-take for grazing and wood fuel use and estimates of carrying capacity of these activities in the dryland areas of Africa. Secondly, I will appreciate help in locating national and regional map/digital data on current livestock levels for the Africa region. Suggestions as to contacts/data sources/research reports etc would be much appreciated. This request is in support of a joint Consernation International/World Resources Institute assessment of anthropogenic pressures on natural and semi-natural areas of Africa.
