Educating Girls and Women for Development in Africa ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is an organization established as a response to the realization that female participation in education in many countries in Africa is alarmingly low. FAWE's mission is, firstly, to ensure that gender equality is built into all educational policies in Africa. Secondly, FAWE tries to ensure continuous and rigorous debate on all social policies that impinge on how education policy is implemented.

FAWE welcomes partnerships with national, regional and international organizations in the promotion of female education in Africa. For more information contact: The Executive Director, Forum for African Women Educationalists, PO Box 53168, Nairobi, Kenya. Phone (2) 226590; Fax (2) 210709.
