As a former member of the <"Internet to save the world" cult>, I would like to report that my enthusiam, though somewhat dimmed, is not extinguished. I believe that the internet and <IT in general> are simply tools not solutions. Their value depends on how you use them, and, if you use them well, they have great potential. Let's not overlook any means to "help" save the world just because there is a lot of hype surrounding it.
