Call for Papers

Special Issue of Journal, "Information Technology for Development", on: 'New Communication Technologies and Development'

Original papers (c.6000 words) and short communications (c.1500 words) are invited for this special issue, to be published in July 1997.

Papers must be directly related to developing countries and could cover topics such as: - Case studies of the application of new communication technologies (NCTs) - Country reviews of status of NCTs - Analysis of regulatory and promotional interventions relevant to NCTs - Constraints on NCT diffusion - Role of NCTs in trade and economic development - Theoretical perspectives on the relationship between development processes and NCTs - Socio-cultural impacts of NCTs

Papers should be sent to the Editor-in-chief: Dr S Ramani, NCST, Gulmohar Cross Road 9, Juhu, Mumbai - 400 049, India.

A disk-based version of the paper will be required: MS Word, Word Perfect, Latex and plain ASCII formats are acceptable. Papers and further communication can be addressed by email: mailto:jitd@konark.ncst.ernet.in
